A Heritage of Learning in Lake Dallas
The Children’s Learning Station opened in 1985 after purchasing the land of what was originally the first Church of Christ (125 years old). The land and chapel were purchased and have now been fully converted into a completely renovated 21st century childcare center.
Along with our newest expansion, The Children’s Learning Station is now equipped with over 5,000 square feet of the newest childcare software and industry leading tools.

Meet Our Director
Mrs. Kristine Burgan
Ms. Kristine grew up in Lake Dallas Texas, and started at CLS when she was 3 years old. She has worked with the school since she was 16 years old, moving from an assistant with the after schoolers, to a toddler 2’s teacher, eventually growing into her own as a director, and taking over for her mother Ms. Sherry Bickers.
She is now married with 3 wonderful kiddos and a kitty. She loves going to the beach, cooking with her family, reading mystery novels, and watching funny movies.

Meet Our Owners
Don & Suzanne Manning
The Mannings were born and raised in the Denton area. Their mission at Children’s Learning Station is to create a nurturing, hometown, early learning atmosphere where real connections and relationships are built.
Don is the CFO of a real estate company and serves on the elder board of Valley Creek Church, a church he and Suzanne helped start over 25 years ago.
Suzanne has invested her time as a teacher, wife, mom, homemaker, mentor, girl’s minister, speaker, writer, and most importantly an encourager to everyone she meets.
Together, they run a parenting ministry called Crazy Cool Family where they show parents how to create amazing Crazy Cool families by building their lives around Jesus and helping their kids to do the same.
